COURSE OVERVIEW

The purpose of this Driver Education course is to impart knowledge, develop skills, and enhance the technical and analytical disposition of teens, so they can perform as safe and competent drivers.

We believe emphasizing proper mechanics and judgement strategy techniques can contribute to the reduction of crashes, fatalities, and injuries. This course is foundational, highlighting the execution of various driving skills, knowledge of traffic signs, and rules of the road.

Driver education is an integral part of a teen’s total educational process. Our program is comprehensive in scope, preventive in design, and developmental in nature. It is very important that students receive extended practice with a licensed adult, parent/guardian, or qualified driver to develop successful skills, processes, habits, and responsibilities.

THE OPEN ROAD EXPERIENCE

Our Iowa certified instructors are knowledgeable, experienced, friendly, and patient. Students are presented with in-car visual materials, buzz words and phrases to maximize student retainment of traffic signs, regulations, and driving concepts.

Our six-hour Behind-the-Wheel program features intersections, highways, rural roads, downtown, interstate, parking, turn lanes, shared center lane, and more.
